{"id":6834,"date":"2025-04-03T10:08:53","date_gmt":"2025-04-03T14:08:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/diverso.ca\/the-creative-process-behind-the-canadian-red-cross-benefit-event-concept\/"},"modified":"2026-01-28T21:41:31","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T02:41:31","slug":"the-creative-process-behind-the-canadian-red-cross-benefit-event-concept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/diverso.ca\/en\/the-creative-process-behind-the-canadian-red-cross-benefit-event-concept\/","title":{"rendered":"The creative process behind the Canadian Red Cross Benefit Event concept"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once again, we had the good fortune to be the firm commissioned by the Canadian Red Cross to design its annual Benefit Event, which took place on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at New City Gas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The creative process behind the evening&#8217;s concept<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>20th edition theme: <\/b><b><i>Odyssey of unity and resilience<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our approach was based on two key points:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Odyssey<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Immerse guests in a collective journey through a dreamlike setting inspired by the power and beauty of the four elements: air, water, earth and fire.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Unity and resilience<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Canadian Red Cross: Illustrate how the Canadian Red Cross is working together to meet the challenges facing our communities, while highlighting the volunteers behind this mission.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Staging the elements<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>The air<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> At the arrival, large drapes greeted guests, evoking the wind. In the passageway to the main hall, kites in the colors of the Red Cross and its partners floated, adorned with portraits of volunteers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Water<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A wall of mist marked the entrance to the banquet, leading to an immersive downpour scenography: suspended clouds, projections, sound effects and light effects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>The earth<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Plant structures adorned the stage, aisles and centerpieces. Delicate flowers planted in the sand suggested both travel and resilience.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>The fire<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Over 350 candles and lanterns lit up the spaces, creating a warm atmosphere.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each element was brought to life through mapping projected at key moments of the evening.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>A landmark 20th edition<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To mark this special edition, we have designed several activations:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mapping the evening&#8217;s theme on the fa\u00e7ade of New City Gas<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Emblematic photos of Canadian Red Cross missions displayed on 14 screens during the cocktail reception<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Projection of a video of Canadian Red Cross milestones, accompanied by a live performance by artist Rapha\u00eblle Roy on the main LED screen.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>An immersive introduction<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ceremonial moments were carefully highlighted. The main block of speeches opened with a short sound and light show: a rain shower simulated by cloud suspensions and audiovisual effects gradually dissipated, giving way to the illumination of a large sun bathing the room in warm light. This luminous circle was then transformed into the logo of the Canadian Red Cross, marking the official launch of the evening. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Customized design <\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All the key elements of this concept were custom-made by our team and our valued collaborators.
