{"id":6830,"date":"2023-02-15T17:05:51","date_gmt":"2023-02-15T22:05:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/diverso.ca\/creole-market\/"},"modified":"2025-11-19T15:52:32","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T20:52:32","slug":"creole-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/diverso.ca\/en\/creole-market\/","title":{"rendered":"Creole market"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Diverso team is already busy planning the next edition of the Martinique Gourmande Festival&#8217;s Creole Market, which will be back for its 15<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> edition at the Grand Quai du Vieux Port on September 16 and 17, 2023, an event that attracts thousands of visitors. <\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main elements of the mandate were carried out in collaboration with the Comit\u00e9 Martiniquais en 2022, with whom it was a pleasure to work:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Development and proposal of a thematic concept, signage on the site. With over 8,000 visitors over 2 days, this is a crucial element in ensuring that this gourmet experience remains enjoyable for everyone.   <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Coordination and logistics: necessary authorizations and accreditations, management of audiovisual equipment and suppliers.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Food research, planning and purchasing for the 5 chefs, for a total of 1,300 dishes served at the 2022 edition. A real food marathon! Laurie&#8217;s past experience as a catering chef was an invaluable asset!    <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Management of themed areas, including a section for toddler chefs.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Budget management.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Festival history<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Created in 2006, Martinique Gourmande is Montreal&#8217;s very first culinary festival. The initial concept involved some sixty bars and restaurants in the Greater Montreal and Quebec City areas offering a ten-day menu of Martinique flavours. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2023, the Festival hopes to innovate by creating a section focused on cooperation between chefs, teachers and students from Martinique and Quebec, in order to strengthen academic, economic and tourism links between the two territories and cultures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event already includes a solidarity component, with thousands of Martiniquan meals distributed to Quebec food banks by the Cuisines Solidaires de la Tabl\u00e9e des Chefs, as well as a charity component, with funds raised from the sale of chefs&#8217; meals donated to associations in Martinique, as well as to the ITHQ in Montreal.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This initiative has enabled Martinique Gourmande to be shortlisted for the Lauriers de la Gastronomie Qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise in 2021, in the &#8220;Event of the Year&#8221; category.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To find out more about the program, visit https:\/\/martiniquegourmande.ca\/<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Diverso team is already busy planning the next edition of the Martinique Gourmande Festival&#8217;s Creole Market, which will be back for its 15e edition [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":6462,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[22],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-6830","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.7 -
